Update License on Server Without Internet Connection

On a computer with an Internet Connection:

  1. Go to http://www.spielberg.de/fdlicence/
  2. Click on the button "Download GetSiteCode.exe"
  3. Take the GetSiteCode.exe program to the FileDirector server


On the FileDirector server to be licensed:

  1. Run the downloaded program GetSiteCode.exe and enter the FileDirector Serial Number in the program window.
  2. A file with the extension .fds will then be created in the same location where the GetSiteCode program is
  3. Take the file with the extension .fds to the computer with the Internet connection.

On the computer with an Internet Connection:

  1. Still on the page  http://www.spielberg.de/fdlicence/ click on the browse button and select the file with extension .fds
  2. Click the button "Get FileDirector Certificate"
  3. Down load the new certificate file which will have the extension .fdc
  4. Take the certificate file to the FileDirector server.

On the FileDirector server to be licensed:

  1. Copy the certificate file to the server, but do not copy the certicate file into the FileDirector Server program folder.
  2. Run the FileDirector Config Utility, and from the Licence tab, browse to the location where you downloaded the certificate file, and then press Apply
